Just got this TV yesterday and I highly recommend you don't get it. The same problems with the 2011 D8000 LED are still here with this new ES8000. My LN46C530 from 2010 looks better than this 2012 ES8000 crap! I tried to set up the gesture control and it kept asking me to wave my hand in front on camera for a few times. I did that, but it kept saying I didn't pass the test to use the gesture. I haven't tried anything else yet as I bought this TV for the supposedly "better than last years" picture quality so once I realized its even worse, I gave up on everything else.
I have tried everything to get the picture to look decent. I even tried using 3 different HDMI cables and connecting the HD cable box directly to the TV and not through my Onkyo receiver. The movie setting looks horrible. All the settings look horrible. The same thing is happening where a dark scene shows the bleeding backlight and all kinds of lines. Kinda like clouds in the...
